Sara and Kenny’s Mountain Wedding -Saskia M Photography – Leavenworth Wedding Photographer

I knew I was dying to shoot Sara and Kenny’s wedding when I first met them. They had not yet decided on a venue, but they knew that their wedding had to have a great view of the mountains and local Pacific Northwest beer. They found the perfect place in Mountain Home Lodge in Leavenworth, Washington. After their gorgeous ceremony, their guests spent the evening walking through the open fields, lounging by the pool and admiring the mountain views. The relaxed mountain atmosphere was made perfect with their signature touches such as BBQ sauce favors and an evergreen tree cake topper.

Adam and Emily Engagement – Saskia M Photography – Seattle Engagement Photographer

Adam and Emily are one of those couples that I have to say very little to to get a great engagement photo. They kind of exude love when they are together. I had a great time with them last year at Gasworks and Discovery Park. We also lucked out with some amazing light. This is a reminder to couples why so many photographers like shooting in those last few hours before sunset. Stay tuned for the post on their amazing fall Leavenworth wedding.

Jamie and Jacob’s Fall City Farm Wedding

Jamie and Jacob’s Wedding was a wedding that truly reflected who they were. The outdoor setting and details reflected their love for the natural world, perfect for two science teachers. This was probably most clearly shown in the table titles named after Pacific Northwest flora and fauna, complete with scientific names and interesting facts. Their heritage and beliefs were reflected in the beautiful Jewish traditions such as the tisch (pre-ceremony gathering), the intimate bedecken (veiling of the bride), the signing of the ketubah (marriage contract), their beautiful ceremony under the chuppah which included the breaking of the glass, circling of the groom and bride, and reading of the ketubah, the blessing of the challa at the reception, and of course the horah (circle dance). Their love was clearly shown in a day that was filled with laughter, joy, and some very impressive dancing.
